Dr. VanHorn is an award-winning educator serving in leadership, consulting, and educator roles at the state, district, university, and local school levels. Her passion lies in seeing students and schools improve over time. Her experience includes 6-12 school administration roles, leading systemic-wide school improvement efforts at the state level, coaching professional learning communities and collaborative teams, facilitating grading reform efforts, and Executive Coaching. She has presented at state and national conferences and is published in peer-reviewed journals and chapters in books. She has served as an adjunct professor for undergraduate and graduate level courses. In addition to school improvement efforts and teaching at the university level, she engages in program evaluation for grants supporting increased student achievement.
