Linda Vancil’s 35 plus years of experience in public education include working in a small rural district to helping lead the largest high school in Oregon. Linda’s experiences cover the K-12 spectrum as a teacher, counselor, and administrator. She has been a leader in professional development both at the building and district levels. Linda was charged with implementing several initiatives throughout her career, including professional learning communities, Career Technical Education, online education, teacher evaluation, and teacher mentoring. Two programs pioneered by Linda were the creation of an on-line K-12 school and the revamping of an alternative high school. Under her leadership, the alternative program produced a record number of graduates while widening the scope of students served. Linda focuses staff on data and what adult actions can provide the best possible student outcomes. Her passion is student success. Linda champions creating options and opportunities for students to realize their potential.
