Jodi Anderson successfully served the students and staff in the Bowling Green City Schools in Bowling Green, Ohio for 23 years. Her teaching career developed somewhat by accident from a role while a graduate student in conservation biology, discovering a love for education that continues to this day. Earning a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction was followed by Ohio Master Teacher Designation and serving as an Ohio Teacher Leader liaison. After 16 years as a high school science teacher, she transitioned to an instructional coach with a specialization in the STEM fields and then to the secondary curriculum coordinator. She has worked at the state level in standards and assessment revision, applying this work at the local level.

Fiercely passionate about engagement and equitable practice in the classroom, Jodi works with teacher teams in all subject areas at the secondary level.  Her role as a district leader through the Ohio Improvement Process, district equity team, and subject-specific curriculum reviews continue to influence her work with her fellow educators. She has led customized professional development from one on one settings to teams to district level implementations. Guiding instructional design through a variety of coaching models has led to positive impact in the classroom and strong team relationships.  This includes successfully coaching teacher leaders to implement a district wide focus on discourse based instructional design with a well-supported professional development model.  As a long time leader for new teacher mentorship and induction to the profession, she also designs personalized learning for educators in their early teaching years.

Jodi’s passion projects have included Girls Who Code for middle school students, developing outdoor learning spaces and being a Women in STEM presenter.
