Best Practices Expo

Teachers need to see the results of their work, not merely witness a workshop or seminar.  We can create an “Exhibition” for professionals. The Exhibition consists of a three-panel board that addresses three questions:  What was the Challenge?  What did we do?  What were our results?  This typically takes place in the late spring or summer. The Exhibition is an example of an activity that publicly acknowledges the work of great teachers and administrators.

Just need help right now?

What is Best Practices Expo?

In our work with districts and schools, we will identify, document, and replicate effective practices in academic performance, teaching, leadership, discipline, and attendance. The Best Practices Expo will take place at the end of the school year in a simple “science fair” presentation format. In three simple panels, educators and leaders show the challenge (left-hand panel), the professional practice that addressed this challenge (middle panel), and the measurable results (right-hand panel). When synthesized, the common themes in these practices creates a report that highlights opportunities for replication of locally based, locally owned best practices. The theme of our work is “practices, not programs” as a way to save money for the state and also provide sustainable leadership and educator practices in schools.
