Dr. Jennifer Bourgeois earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pure Mathematics from the University of California at Riverside, a Master of Arts degree in Education with a Crosscultural Language & Academic Development emphasis from California Baptist University, and a Ph.D. in Urban Leadership from Claremont Graduate University. She holds the following clear credentials: Multiple Subject, Secondary Mathematics, and Administrative.

In her more than 25 years in education, she has been a teacher at the elementary and secondary levels, mentor, supervisor, and administrator at the elementary, secondary, and district levels. She also has been a key member of professional development planning, designing, and presenting on topics that range from designing lessons, using data to drive instruction, creating a culture of inquiry, using equitable practices to remove barriers for students, and implementing continuous improvement practices to help close the achievement gap.

Dr. Bourgeois is an active member of Association of California School Administrators (ACSA). She currently holds the position of Vice President of Councils and Committees. Dr. Bourgeois is also an executive board member for the State ACSA Curriculum, Instruction and Accountability Council. Dr. Bourgeois has presented at a variety of conferences including ASCD. Further, she is one the California State presenters on the California assessment system.
