Christine (Christy) de Zayas is an experienced educator from South Florida with 30 years of service in the field of education. She has served in various roles including a teacher, Math Specialist, Assistant Principal, and Principal, and Intern Principal Supervisor.  Christy is known for her passion and forward-thinking approach to education.

One of Christy's significant achievements was developing the first 50/50 dual language program model for her school district. Her school is now a model dual language program for Broward County schools and is a host school for other districts, schools, administrators, and teachers who want to learn more about  implementing effective dual language programs. Christy also coaches new principals on topics such as  building relationships and cultures of trust, using data to drive instruction, and designing innovative programs.

In addition to her work, Christy is an avid traveler. She has visited 30 countries and loves learning about other cultures and people. Through her travels, Christy has gained a deeper understanding of the importance of language learning and cultural exchange in education.

Christy's dedication to education and her innovative approach to language learning has been recognized by her peers and the wider education community.
