Pam Gildersleeve-Hernandez is an experienced assistant superintendent specializing in curriculum, instruction, and strategic planning. Her background includes serving as a Superintendent/Principal, where she gained expertise in supporting rural schools and was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Office of Technology for her innovative, forward-thinking work. Pam has participated in advisory groups for the U.S. Secretary of Education and the California State Superintendent of Public Instruction, in addition to contributing to works such as the California Distance Learning Guide, Writing Standards-Based IEP Goals, the California Collaborative for Excellent Education distance learning professional development series, and the book Rethinking Rural: Reflections on Today, Insights for the Future. Pam has authored articles on parent engagement, professional development, and the importance of relationships in driving change.
Pam’s doctoral research focused on leading transformational organizational change through adaptive leadership. She holds a master's degree in educational leadership and curriculum and instruction with an emphasis on bilingual/multicultural special education.
Pam presents at the local, state, and national levels. She consults with school and district leaders on strategic planning, collaborative leadership, personal leadership development coaching, and well-being. Her passion lies in empowering educational leaders, teachers, and classified staff through an asset-based approach focused on district priorities and personalized professional development.
